Job Description:

Any Concrete Cutting and Backus Concrete is looking for a friendly, energetic, and passionate Accounting & Office Manager to join our team. We would like to add someone who has a proven track record of being able to support the business needs for a company with 60+ employees. We have an amazing staff that enjoys hard work and having fun at work, and we would love to talk to qualified candidates about joining our team. -- - Key Duties and Responsibilities Overall responsibility for accounting including A/R, A/P, and Payroll and supervision of office administrator.Administration of Human Resource duties including screening, pre-employment processing, maintenance of records and benefits administration. Manage the monthly close process to produce timely, accurate, and valid financial information. Prepare monthly account reconciliations and perform other internal controls. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Support development of policies, processes, and internal controls. Maintain payroll files and with direct responsibility for processing payroll and benefits: Post journal entries into general ledger Reconcile all payroll and benefits related accounts (fed and state taxes, other deductions) Reconcile health and non-health insurance payments for proper recording to general ledger. Reconcile bank statements, with mitigating internal controls. Assists in the compilation of annual accounting files for tax filings and financial audits as required. Compliance contact for many business items from outside entities (ie taxing authority, state or municipal entities. Other office duties including IT coordination, OSHA and DOT record keeping and property accounting and tracking. Identify opportunities to streamline processes including leveraging technology. Other duties as needed. Required Skills & Experience: -- --- - Accounting Degree or equivalent experience -- --- --- -Minimum five to seven years-------- experience -- --- --- -Ability to learn different software systems and interfaces between transactions systems -- --- --- -Knowledge of project management practices and procedures. -- --- --- -Sharp attention to small details. -- --- --- -Superior organization and time management skills for prioritizing and managing multiple projects. -- --- --- --- -Strong written and oral communication skills as well as proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, and General Ledger Accounting systems. -- --- --- -Ability to surface questions to clarify end goal as needed -- --- --- -Must be able to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies -- --- --- -Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing deadlines. -- --- --- -Spanish language skills a plus but not required.
