Associate Shopper Marketing Manager



You'll work to bring Splenda's brand mission to life of helping people live happier, healthier, longer lives by making it easier to reduce sugar. You'll focus on improving the shopping experience for consumers in order to drive sales both in-store and online through Shopper Marketing programs customized for key retailers like Walmart, Sam's Club, Kroger & Dollar General. Maintaining an omnichannel mindset and comprehensive understanding of retailer tactics, you'll identify business building opportunities that will drive profitable volume and elevate our partnership.



The Splenda brand portfolio includes traditional Splenda sweeteners as well as Splenda branded coffee creamers, nutrition shakes and beverage solutions like flavored liquid water enhancers.



Key Responsibilities



* Align and partner with Sales, Marketing and Retail partners to build winning shopper marketing plans that help deliver the total US Splenda annual operating plan financial targets.

* Manage shopper marketing projects to ensure all programs are executed on time, within budget, and meet key performance metrics through post campaign data analysis and reporting.

* Be a strategic customer and brand advocate while influencing multiple functions both internally externally in the planning, budgeting, and development of programs.

* Manage on-site search within key retailer platforms, building and optimizing campaigns to meet key performance objectives, and reporting on performance.

* Assist with developing and executing new item launch plans at retail for Splenda that meet or exceed objectives around awareness, household penetration, trial, and repeat.

* Build alliances with synergistic vendors to stay on top of industry trends and technology.

* Perform at a high capacity to deliver against quick turn-around on unanticipated customer-generated requests. Requires solid project management skill set along with multi-tasking, troubleshooting, agility and attention to detail.



Qualifications



Education:



* BS in Business or Marketing or other related field required



Experience and Skills Required:



* 1-3 years of experience in marketing, sales, or agency in food or other Consumer Packaged Goods Industry experience required.

* Adaptable, detail-oriented and able to prioritize effectively.

* Strong visual, written and oral communication skills.

* Ability and desire to learn new technologies and platforms.

* A natural curiosity and proactive sharing of industry-related trends and retailer news.



Preferred:



* Previous Shopper Marketing experience.

* Experience using retailer platforms, portals and systems.



Computer Skills:



* Advanced skill set in Microsoft Office Excel.

* Moderate to advanced skill set in PowerPoint.

* Proficient knowledge and experience with syndicated data Nielsen/IRI.



Communication Skills:



* Public speaking skills for presentations to peers and customers.

* Collaboratively communicate daily with field sales brand teams business unit teams and retail execution team.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Clear communication across brand and portfolio team in several aspects of the programming: process program details and program results.



Travel: Average of 3 trips annually to corporate headquarters for planning and national sales meetings.
