• FLSA - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Exempt, SalaryThe Industrial Engineer (IE) will operate as an integral member of the Bentonville Distribution Center's (DC's) and Operations management team. The IE will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing operational production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, capacity and production coordination. -We are looking for passionate people who collaborate well with others. -This team member must be able to embrace change, push boundaries and recognize new opportunities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies best practices for facility layout design, ergonomics, material handling equipment, process improvement, cost-benefit analysis, and capacity analysis.
  • Conducts, builds and maintains performance time studies, create engineered standards, regularly scheduled standard deviation, best-method development, documentation, and training.
  • Applies statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
  • Builds understanding and gain commitment of approved standards by operation teams.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation for each operation describing methods and procedures, engineering notes, engineering records (such as time study data).
  • Produces various performance reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Meets weekly as part of the operations management team to keep apprised of issues and opportunities, lending the engineering perspective to guide the facility towards the most ideal and strategic course of action.

    --- - - - - - - - -Experience working in a distribution, warehouse or production setting. - - - -Physical Requirements
    --- - - - - - - - -Must be able to sit at a computer as well as stand and/or walk as needed throughout the day. May occasionally reach, bend and move inside the facility and office areas. -
    --- - - - - - - - -Fine motor skills: -occasionally required using the wrists, hands, and fingers to hoop and inspect product -
    --- - - - - - - - -Vision: Required to have close visual acuity, color vision and depth perception
