Job Details:Reporting directly to the Vice President of Fresh Meats and Global Governance & Corporate Affairs IT, the Director for Fresh Meats business engagement will lead a team of business analysts focused on managing the relationship with the Fresh Meats (Beef, Pork, Case Ready and Value Added) business. The Director will be at the forefront of business engagement, working closely with the business to line up technology solutions and platforms with business strategy and broader business transformation efforts.The leader in this role will partner closely with horizontal IT functions (Development, Architecture, Analytics) as well as with IT verticals in Poultry IT, Prepared Foods IT and Enabling Functions IT. This role will also work with peer enabling functions teams in Digital Enablement, Continuous Improvement and Operational Efficiency groups. This role is highly strategic and critical to the future direction of the organization which involves executing the Analog to Digital transformation in support of Tyson's growth targetsThe Director will provide leadership in execution and thought leadership, providing guidance and coaching to a team of senior team members and leaders while at the same time actively participating in the engagement with the business as well as the evolution of strategy and roadmaps. Other responsibilities will include:Collaborate with peers to create solutions that will provide greater business capability sets and will be catalytic to broad transformation in the businessDevelop a team and an organization that is designed to deliver agile, quality solutions based on modern and emerging technologies. This includes skill set upgrades, workforce management and targeted hiringOversee and facilitate the implementation of hardware and software technology throughout the Tyson corporate and plant footprint.Implement ongoing organizational optimization based on project needs and skill requirements, this includes managing contract and vendor assignments.Implements appropriate risk prevention methods with the needed vigilance and resiliency to improve the organization's ability to prevent, detect and correct critical risk issues with integrated systems and processes.Recommend and develop plans for: solutions development and operations, hardware, software and equipment purchases, budget, and staffingResponsible for analyzing the needs of IT and Business Stakeholders and establishing priorities for system design and implementationMake formal and informal presentations to Tyson executive management.Responsible for overall quality of solutions supporting the business.Responsible for the personnel administration of IT resources both internal and external - interview, hire and train employees, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, address complaints and resolve problems.Talent champion with an ability and focus on acquiring and growing talent across an organization, managers, and professionals to achieve strategic direction.Must provide direction to vendors and stay current on the latest technologies of the systems supported by the organization to assist in the future planning of necessary IT initiatives.Has strong experience and knowledge of financial management and budget management concepts.Be a trusted advisor to the Fresh Meats and Global Governance & Corporate Affairs leadership staff and their team members, as well as peer IT organizations. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; computer science, mathematics, operations management, or a related fieldEXPERIENCE: 10+ year of experience in IT Solutions Delivery, with demonstrated traceable, measurable, impactful results.5+ years as Sr Manager or Director of TechnologyExecutive level presentation skills that allow individual to build and sell ideas to the business based on data driven details and prior hands on experience.5+ years of defining and driving future focused architectures.Demonstrated experience with engaging/partnering with business leadership as TechnologyThought Leader12+ years of experience in IT Solutions Delivery, some of it in a similar role with demonstrated traceable, measureable, impactful results.SKILLS:Program ManagementCommunicationTechnology Strategy & PlanningArchitectureContinuous improvement ExperienceMulti-taskerAbility to engage in matrix organization with resources interlocked from onshore and offshore locations.Experience with large scale complex ERP implementation program execution (e.g. SAP)COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Executive presenceExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact, influence and work directly with IT and business executivesSUPERVISORY: Leading a group of 10-15 Managers and Team MembersProven experience in developing application roadmaps, business offerings and technical capabilities.Ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results.Strong leadership in cross-functional team environments.Ability to structure ambiguous business requirements into impactful solutions.TRAVEL: Some travel may be required.
