The Senior Brand Manager (SABM) OR Brand Manager (BM) are key contributors to brand growth plans, and the cross-functional team and brand business leaders will rely on you to master the consumer, brand, and marketplace to deliver meaningful growth. This role will sharpen your leadership, execution, strategic thinking, and creative skills and expose you to industry-leading brands, resources, and colleagues.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop business objectives and marketing plans for assigned brand/categories, reflecting overall corporate goals, and execute on plans to deliver against brand, financial and share objectives
  • Monitor performance measurements to ensure brand is tracking against goals; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Analyze data to identify insights and translate into business initiatives and/or actionable tasks to drive results
  • Lead development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives
  • Direct agency partners as required to ensure effective and efficient translation of marketing strategies into activation plans
  • Lead development and execution of product line extension and packaging innovation plans including business proposal and approval, concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
  • Partner with innovation, channels and customer business teams to develop and execute innovation plans including business proposal and approval, concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
  • Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies in business and brand plans
  • Manage monthly volume forecast for assigned brand/categories, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy
  • Proactively work with Sales Strategy and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against objectives
  • Manage brand budget including media, design, and sales sample spending for assigned product responsibility

    The Senior Associate Brand Manager (SABM) of Innovation is a key contributor to brand growth plans, responsible for identifying incremental opportunities and developing new products. From conceptualization to commercialization, you will drive the future of Tyson Foods' retail portfolio to better meet consumer needs. You'll own the P&L and lead a cross functional team of passionate innovators to flawless execution. This team, plus brand business leaders, will rely on you to master the consumer, brand, and marketplace to deliver meaningful growth and exciting new innovation. This role will sharpen your leadership, execution, and creative skills and expose you to industry-leading brands, resources, and colleagues

    SUMMARY:

    The Senior Associate Brand Manager (SABM) of Innovation is a key contributor to the growth plans for the business teams, responsible for leading cross functional teams in planning, execution and analysis of various initiatives. The SABM role includes development of strategic business and innovation marketing plans to achieve corporate and brand volume, profit and share objectives.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Apply curiosity & analysis to synthesize complex information into action including landscape assessment and deep dive into consumer, shopper, category, competition and channel dynamics and shifts
    • Distill insights to develop winning consumer concepts, drives successful business models, and delivers best in class commercialization
    • Participate in development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives in support of the brand team
    • Lead the development and execution of product and packaging innovation plans including concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, business proposal and approval, project execution, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
    • Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies in business and brand plans
    • Proactively work with Sales Strategy and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against JBP objectives
    • Manage volume forecast for innovation initiatives, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy
    • Lead all facets of P&L development including identification of size of opportunity/pricing, cost of goods optimization, and manufacturing efficiencies to drive profitable financial projections.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      Education: Bachelors Degree in a business or marketing related discipline required

      Experience: At least 3 years of experience with CPG brand management, marketing and/or related field. Full P&L management experience. ** Level will be determined during the interview process**

      Special Skills: Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking with a customer and consumer lens is required. Strong financial acumen. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work and excel as a project leader in a fast paced, changing environment.

      Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication including presentation skills

      Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint

      Travel: Ability to travel as required for: customer/plant visits, sales meetings, conferences, and trade events
