Overview: The Lab Support Technician is responsible for the skillful acquisition of all required types of specimens for laboratory testing utilizing safe, accurate, effective, professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies as required. The LST will be responsible for all processing, transport and referral of all types of laboratory specimens and reports as required. Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience: One (1) year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience. Previous Mercy LST III designation or equivalent experience.Preferred Education: College level chemistry, Biology or other Science courses.
