We are dedicated to providing lactation support, education, and
assistance to mothers and their families. Our team initiates and
maintains regular communication with mothers during their hospital
stay to enhance their breastfeeding journey. After discharge, we
offer outpatient care and services in collaboration with the Family
Resource Center and Outpatient Lactation Services. Additionally, we
serve as a clinical and educational resource for both lactation and
hospital staff. Working closely with colleagues, we facilitate the
delivery of lactation support services and education throughout our
organization. We also represent our organization at community
events, outreach initiatives, and educational programs. Flexibility
in scheduling is essential to ensure consistent contact with
patients. Our team is aware of direct patient care activities for
neonatal age groups, which include assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation. We coordinate patient care
activities with nursing and ancillary departments to enhance
patient comfort and care. All actions are performed within the
scope of nursing preparation and adhere to established nursing
practice guidelines, the goals of our organization, the philosophy
of our founders, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of
Professional and Business Ethics, and the Employee Code of Conduct.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and all
responsibilities are carried out in alignment with our mission,
values, and service standards. Position Overview: Qualifications
Education : Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Licensure : Active RN license with the State Board of Nursing in
the relevant state or a current temporary RN work permit in the
applicable state. Experience : No prior experience required.
Certifications : Certification as a Certified Lactation Consultant
(CLC) must be achieved within two years of hire or transfer. A
current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider
certification is required or must be completed during the
probationary period. Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Proven
clinical expertise in the relevant area. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills are essential. The ability to multitask and
adapt to changing routines is necessary. Working Conditions, Mental
and Physical Requirements: The role requires standing and walking
for most of the shift. Candidates must meet unit-specific physical
demands. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including rotating
weekends and some evening shifts in the Family Resource Center.
Familiarity with unit-specific equipment is necessary. Preferred
Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Preferred
Experience: Experience in mother/baby care is preferred. Why Join
