License in Missouri Certifications: BLS, PALS from AHA; TNCC or
PCAR preferred Must-Have: Vent competent Resume must reflect vent
competency and capability in NICU Description: Flu vaccination or
approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 to
April 1. Position involves providing patient care for all age
groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and
evaluation. Coordination of patient care activities with ancillary
departments is essential to optimize patient care and comfort.
Responsibilities include maintaining professional accountability
for the provision of patient care and evaluating the effectiveness
of care provided by other caregivers. Maintaining patient rights
and confidentiality of patient information is crucial. The role
requires utilizing the nursing process to provide care and
functioning within the established guidelines of nursing practice.
Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on
duty, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in
wheelchairs, and some limited kneeling, crouching, and crawling. A
clean, air-conditioned environment is typically where duties are
performed. Demonstrated skills in communication and human relations
are required. Clinical expertise in the specialty area is necessary
for successful performance. Nurses will be expected to work in
various areas, including NICU, PICU, pediatric medical floor, or
pediatric emergency department, as determined by patient volumes.
Patient populations may include those with respiratory, surgical,
trauma/burn, neurosurgical, and hematology/oncology conditions.
Dress code requires black scrubs, with an option to wear a
pediatric-appropriate t-shirt. Personality fit is important to
