This position is for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Travel experience is required, but locals are welcomed at the same rate. Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting are required. Candidates should have skills in managing anxiety disorders, involuntary commitment, and geriatric care. Experience in inpatient environments and locked units is preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of medication administration, including antianxiety, antidepressants, and antipsychotics. Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques are essential. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and the use of seclusion protocols is necessary. The unit will have a daily census of approximately 12 patients, with a maximum of 20 beds available. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy and social services among others.
