Job Description:

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time position in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. PACU RNs play a critical role in the recovery of post-operative patients by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and helping with pain management and recovery. This position represents an opportunity to work with a team committed to the highest levels of patient care that begin in the recovery room. Monitor all vital signs as the patient recovers from anesthesia. Assess, identify and treat post-operative pain and other symptoms following recovery protocols. Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive post-operative care. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and necessary adjustments for a smooth recovery. Ensure all medical equipment used in patient care is functioning appropriately. Maintain accurate patient records and document patient care services. Strong assessment and monitoring skills. Proficient in pain management and the ability to administer prescribed medications. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. High attention to detail. Ability to quickly make critical decisions. Comprehensive knowledge of post-anesthetic care unit operations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid RN license in the state of Oklahoma. BLS certification required. ACLJ PALS certification preferred.
