ICU/Critical Care RN in Muskogee, Oklahoma, 74401! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Flexible on nights, must be available
every other weekend Hours per Shift: 1345 - 0715 Experience: Zero
(0) - six (6) months of related experience License: Valid
multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac Care, Critical
Care Nursing, Neurological Nursing, Respiratory Diseases Treatment,
Willingness to float to Med Surge Description: The Registered Nurse
assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care. Utilizes
the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit
policies/procedures. Completes assessment and individualizes the
plan of care within established guidelines. Carries out nursing
care with consideration for cultural and psychosocial factors and
ages of individual patients. Organizes, prioritizes, and performs
nursing skills appropriate for the patient population. Anticipates
patient and unit needs. Demonstrates sound knowledge base and uses
the bio-psychosocial model. Delegates and communicates effectively
and appropriately. Demonstrates professional judgment in response
to changing patient and unit situations. Documents steps of the
nursing process and care accurately and legibly. Utilizes correct
medical terminology and abbreviations. Addresses problems and
progress toward outcomes according to unit policy. Facilitates
patient education for discharge. Makes timely and appropriate
referrals. Utilizes resources in planning and presenting patient
education. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate.
Supports unit and hospital goals through quality improvement and
educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets
education standards. Accurately completes variance reports.
Exercises independent judgment in planning and making decisions in
a complex field. Works directly with patients and customers.
