Program Director Job Description Position Summary the Program
Director oversees the daily operations, programming, and staff
development within the hospital. This role ensures the delivery of
high-quality, evidence-based care to patients while maintaining
compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The
Program Director provides leadership, supervision, and training to
staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and
continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities · Develop, implement,
and evaluate therapeutic programs that align with the hospital’s
mission, vision, and treatment philosophy. · Support staff ensuring
adherence to best practices and ethical standards. · Deliver
comprehensive staff training programs focused on clinical
competencies, safety procedures, trauma-informed care, and
professional development. · Monitor program effectiveness through
data analysis, patient outcomes, and feedback, making adjustments
as needed to improve quality of care. · Collaborate with medical,
nursing, and administrative teams to ensure integrated and
coordinated patient care. · Maintain compliance with state,
federal, and accreditation requirements, including documentation,
reporting, and quality assurance standards. · Participate in
onboarding and performance evaluations of program staff. · Serve as
a liaison between hospital leadership, staff, patients, and
families to promote effective communication and service delivery. ·
Lead initiatives to enhance staff engagement, retention, and
professional growth. · Develop and oversee evidence-based programs
tailored to the unique needs of individuals with autism,
incorporating behavioral, sensory, communication, and social skill
interventions. · Implement family education and support initiatives
to enhance understanding of autism interventions and promote
continuity of care beyond the hospital setting. Qualifications ·
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing,
or a related behavioral health field required. · Minimum of 5 years
of experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a
leadership or supervisory role. · Demonstrated experience in
program development, staff training, and performance management. ·
Strong knowledge of behavioral health regulations, accreditation
standards, and evidence-based treatment modalities. · Excellent
communication, organizational, and leadership skills. · Ability to
work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Work

hospital setting, requiring regular interaction with patients,
staff, and administration. The role may involve occasional evening
or weekend hours to support training or program needs. One of the
