Job Description:
Walmart Inc., a leader in global retail with a robust presence
in technology-driven solutions, is seeking a Distinguished Data
Scientist to join our innovative Data Science & AI team. This role
focuses on leveraging big data and powerful analytics to enhance
business decisions and drive the company's strategic agenda
forward. As a Distinguished Data Scientist, you will lead complex
projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design,
build, and deploy sophisticated AI models that improve our customer
experiences and operational efficiency. Lead the development and
implementation of advanced machine learning algorithms and data
processing techniques. Collaborate with business teams to identify
areas where AI can drive improvements and innovation. Oversee the
evaluation and ingestion of new data sources and ensure data
integrity and accuracy in analyses. Develop and maintain scalable
data pipelines for real-time analytics. Present insights and
recommendations to senior management to guide strategic decisions.
Mentor junior data scientists, promoting a culture of learning and
continuous improvement in the team. Expertise in machine learning,
predictive modeling, and statistical analysis Proficiency in
Python, R, Scala or similar programming languages Experience with
big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional communication and
leadership skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Advanced Analytics,
Data Science, or Machine Learning from a recognized professional
body Certification in Big Data Technologies preferred
