Job Description Job Description Responsibilities The Parts Clerk
is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Parts Department,
including warehousing activities, inventory control, parts counter
support, and dispatch coordination as needed. This is a generalist
role designed to provide flexible coverage across parts-related
functions and help ensure smooth daily operations. Rush Truck

Responsibilities Check in all daily incoming shipments from vendors
by comparing actual counts to packing slips. Post all incoming
packing slips into the computer system and follow company
procedures for shortages or damaged parts. Process all incoming
stock orders within 24 hours of receipt. Properly label and stock
incoming parts in assigned bin locations per system instructions.
Identify correct locations for new parts and update inventory
records accordingly. Check in and process all incoming inter-branch
shipments, generate picking lists, and stage parts for delivery.
Pull customer orders according to picking lists and prepare parts
for will-call, shipment, or delivery. Maintain “will call”
inventory by ensuring parts and associated paperwork are accurately
organized. Dispatch parts drivers to customer and vendor locations
as indicated on sales invoices or purchase orders. Provide drivers
with directions and delivery instructions as needed. Process and
maintain customer returns, ensuring parts are in resalable
condition. File freight claims for shortages or damaged parts
within 24 hours of receipt. Manage junk core inventory by tagging,
tracking, staging, and coordinating weekly returns to vendors. Pull
and process vendor returns, ensuring proper packaging and shipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in
accordance with company policies. Serve as backup for parts driving
or other parts-related functions as needed. Provide support at the
parts counter when required, including assisting customers and
internal staff. Qualifications & Preferred Experience Prior parts
counter or automotive/truck parts experience strongly preferred.
Warehouse, inventory, or dispatch experience is a plus. Ability to
multitask and adapt to changing daily priorities. Strong
organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer
skills and the ability to learn inventory systems. Ability to read
maps and provide clear driving directions when dispatching.

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Three
months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. If required to drive, for
any reason, on behalf of the company, must possess a current and
valid driver license with a driving record that meets the
insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance
carrier. Must be trained and certified by the Company in using our
Forklift equipment; and must be certified within 90 days. Law
requires Forklift operators to be at least 18 years old. Must have
ability to use a box or cardboard crusher. Computer literate with
the ability to learn and be proficient in any software program
