  About the PositionYou'll join a top-notch team and ensure all landscaped areas are always maintained to a high standard.What you will doYou will work closely with the Facilities Manager in establishing a Landscape Management Plan and maintain and cultivate a wide range of trees, shrubs, roses, and herbaceous plants to the highest standard.Responsibilities

  • To develop and manage timetables and budgets, and provide reports to management
  • Oversight of Turf care and management of meadow
  • Clipping of hedges and topiary
  • Pest and disease management protocols
  • Applications of mulch and fertilizers
  • Weeding of borders, paths, steps, yards, and pathways and generally keeping on top of noxious weeds throughout the property
  • Analysis of site characteristics including drainage, soil, vegetation, and access
  • To prepare planting plans and schedules as necessary
  • To inspect all plants and hardscape materials on a regular basis
  • Care and handling of tools and machinery
  • Supervision of seasonal members of staff
  • Supervision of contractors and monitoring of works on-site

    • Excellent proven plant knowledge
    • Tree and fruit tree pruning skills
    • Knowledge of organic composting and soil care
    • Experience of organic plant feeds and organic pest control
    • Supervisory experience
    • Hard working - this is a sole groundskeeper role with seasonal assistance
    • Experience managing irrigation systems
