System One is partnering with one of our clients in search of a
Quality Control Inspector.
Job Summary: As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a
crucial role in ensuring that all aircraft components are
maintained and serviced according to the timelines and
specifications established by customer technical data, manufacturer
guidelines, and FAA regulations. You will be responsible for
verifying that technicians utilize the most current revisions of
applicable maintenance data for airframes, engines, and
accessories. This position reports to the Chief Inspector and may
involve additional duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all repair station records, work
order reports, and forms are accurately completed before releasing
products for return to service.
Assist in verifying that no defective, unserviceable, or
unairworthy parts are installed in any component or article
released by the repair station.
Conduct final acceptance inspections of all incoming materials, new
parts, and the airworthiness of articles worked on outside the
repair station by contract.
Perform airworthiness inspections on articles that have undergone
external work.
Execute preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final
inspections on all articles processed by the repair station.
Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and
components, ensuring that rejected or non-repairable parts are
correctly marked, quarantined, and rendered unusable.
Complete assigned tasks promptly and in accordance with the
policies and procedures outlined in the company manual.
Understand and adhere to procedures outlined in aircraft
manufacturer maintenance manuals.
Perform inspections on assigned maintenance, preventive
maintenance, and alterations, ensuring that workmanship quality
meets industry standards and complies with manufacturer
specifications, applicable CFRs, and company procedures.
Stay familiar with inspection methods, techniques, and equipment
relevant to your specialty to assess quality and airworthiness.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a maintenance supervisor and/or
inspector.
Inspection Authorization is preferred.
Experience in a CFR 145 Repair Station is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more regularly.
Capability to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
