Job Description:

Category Analyst, Walmart PURPOSE - Support StarKist Category Director and Walmart Category Management Team. Develop, maintain and update (Nielsen Connect, Retail Link, Kantar---s RichMix, Numerator---s PromoIntel, etc.) reports providing actionable insights and identifying opportunities for category growth. Develop, update and adjust schematics (modulars) utilizing JDA Software. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES --- Maintain accurate Retail Link & Nielsen reporting while providing actionable insights Assist with management of modular update/relay process Clustering Traits DC matrix Scorecard Provide unbiased, fact-based insights supporting category growthUse category management research and analytics to provide Category Director and Walmart Category Team merchandising and assortment recommendations Share best practices with internal and external category teams Assist in presentations to Walmart and StarKist Fulfill ad hoc requests from the Category Director and Walmart Category Team KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES - 2 years relevant experience in a rigorous analytical background BS/BA with strong quantitative/analytical curriculum (e.g. category management, finance, accounting, statistics, computer science, data science, information systems) Strong computer literacy required with advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen Connect Syndicated and Panel, JDA Space Planning, and Retail Link Category Management Association certification of at least CPCA level desired but not required, but strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work well with a wide variety of functional disciplines Approximately 15% travel required If you have a disability and cannot apply online, please mail your resume and cover letter to: StarKist Co. 1875 Explorer Street, 10th floor ATTN: Human Resources Reston, VA 20190 Please note: this option is for individuals with disabilities only.
