This position is based in the picturesque city of Rogers, AR.How you Will Make a Positive Impact:Support proposal preparation and scope developmentUndertake engineering, designing, and technical tasks to facilitate the delivery of small to large heavy industrial projectsManage project delivery across all phases, from concept to start-up, including construction and commissioning supportConduct calculations, studies, and reports (e.g., grounding, lighting protection, load studies, arc flash)Develop equipment specifications for procurement.Collaborate with other disciplines (Civil/Structural, Mechanical) for design coordinationProvide mentorship to less experienced engineers and team members, ensuring high-quality engineering deliverables consistent with project standards and safety requirementsMaintain regular correspondence with clients and external personnelOffer short-term field support during constructionContribute to power distribution design and Arc Flash reportsThe value you bring:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited programMinimum 5 years of relevant experienceProfessional Engineer registration (or eligibility)Experience working in heavy industrial environments is essentialStrong technical expertise in power distribution, electrical rooms, MCCs, VFDs, transmission, and heavy industrial power systemsFamiliarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment specificationProficient in the engineering and design process, including front end engineering, cost estimates, gated reviews, detailed engineering, and construction supportExperience in both brown field and green field projectsProficiency in National Electrical CodeSkilled in AutoCAD and MS OfficeComfortable with client-facing interactions and effective communication with project teams and customersMid-South is pleased to offer the following benefits to our full-time employees:Medical, dental, and vision insurance available to employees and their dependents on the 1st of the month following date of hireOptional flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings account (HSA)Company-paid basic life and short-term disability insurance with employee-paid options for additional life insurance and long-term disabilityUp to $300 per year in wellness activity reimbursement401k employer match contribution at 50% of your contribution percentage, up to a total of 3%Accrued PTO with no waiting period to use accrued time8 paid scheduled holidays and 1 paid floating holiday per calendar yearUp to $300 per year in Wellness Activity ReimbursementUp to $5,250 per year tuition reimbursement for continuing educationAnnual reimbursement for safety boots and safety glassesThis job posting is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties, responsibilities, and activities.
